Your insight on Jack Campbell is the exact opposite of what Friedman just reported. Your source is saying there is little concern about Campbell re-signing and it could be announced in the next 2 weeks. Friedman just said there hasn't been any discussion in months and when they did discuss the 2 sides were very far apart. So that's going to be interesting. My guess is Campbell is looking to cash in on a longer term deal - Markstrom, Grubauer, etc... - and the Leafs want to keep it short and cheap. I'd say he's gone. But I don't have top sources.

It's disappointing because I've listened to some of his conversations and he's very intelligent and articulate, but he's increasingly shown no discernment politically, and his spiritual/recovery stuff is sadly infected by a lot of woo woo voodoo. But conspiracy content and woo woo drive clicks these days.
This is exactly why it's frowned upon for celebrities to publicly break 12 Step anonymity as he's done, because when they subsequently publicly go off the rails that's all anyone remembers.
